Red clover is quickly becoming one of our top-selling herbs. It has shown promise in cancer prevention and recovery in many recent research studies. It combines well with our other popular anti-cancer herbs, turmeric and ginger root, and also combines well with our female hormone balance and natural breast health and enhancement programs.
In addition to the anti-cancer benefits of the herb, red clover has been shown to increase elasticity of blood vessels, raise HDL levels, and help to prevent heart disease. Since it is a blood thinner it should not be used in conjunction with blood thinning drugs.

Red Clover Research and Medical Uses:
Red clover has been used for centuries as a blood purifier and cancer treatment. Its anti-bacterial properties have been noted since ancient times. Until modern antibiotics came along red clover was a primary treatment for venereal disease, inflammation, infection and tuberculosis. Studies show that elements in red clover actually do kill many types of bacteria. New research has focused on both the anti-cancer properties of the herb and the hormone balancing effect of the isoflavones.
New Research: A breast cancer research study at Atkinson by UK researchers showed decreased breast density in a group of women using red clover and concluded: "In contrast to studies showing that conventional hormone replacement therapies increase mammographic breast density, the isoflavone supplement did not increase mammographic breast density in this population of women. Furthermore, there were no effects on oestradiol, gonadotrophins, lymphocyte tyrosine kinase activity, or menopausal symptoms."
